February 2019

  • a meeting was held to discuss the establishment of a Philippine Centre

  • read the Minutes of the Meeting

  • surveys on the need & vision, and a name, for a Philippine Centre were sent out

​

March 2019

  • submission of papers of incorporation for the Edmonton Philippine International Centre (EPIC) under the Societies Act

  • consultation meeting with the Strategic Advisor to the Mayor, Mr. Bin Lao. Attendees representing the Filipino community: Ida Beltran-Lucila, Marco Luciano, Grace Alarcon-Isla, Lito Velasco, Jun Angeles, Tony Surtida.

Next Steps:  Follow-up meeting on development of business plan, information dissemination, stakeholder engagement and fundraising.
